The Story of Provincetown-Boston Airlines

Started in Provincetown, MA, by John Van Arsdale, PBA operated its first route between Provincetown and Boston.

Operations expanded well beyond its initial focus in New England and by the mid-1980s routes covered most of Florida. By 1984, PBA was the largest commuter airline with 113 aircraft in its fleet. They operated for 40 years before finally being consolidated into a Continental Express commuter.
