Western Air Express Story

Western began operations in 1926 flying mail and passengers between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City with a stop in Las Vegas. This route was known as CAM-4, the airmail route the government has awarded to Western Air Express. The first pilots flew the Douglas M-2 biplane and were given instructions to stay on the right side of the railroad tracks so as to not collide with opposite direction traffic.
