Western Airlines Story

Marketed as "America's Pioneer Airline," Western was one of the longer lasting airlines in the US, operating from 1926 until it merged with Delta in 1987. When it started out, it carried mail along CAM-4 between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles as Western Air Express.

By the time it merged with Delta, Western has 78 airplanes in its fleet and flew to 56 cities, both domestic and international.
